Identifying the insured
Practical tips for working out who is insured
The issue of who has direct access to claim on a policy of insurance is the initial step in making a claim. This course provides:
- An overview of the legislation, the key terms and the latest case law on the issue of which parties can claim on a policy, and
- A guide to finding the right policy or policies that a party can make a claim on and how a party that is not your client might seek to access cover under a policy.
The course also looks at the trend in case law and legislation to allow third party claimants to claim directly on an insurer where the insured party has not or cannot make a claim for indemnity.
